Found this interesting, I’ve been working on specing a new truck. My truck now is a 243” wheelbase with a set forward 20,000 pound front axle. It turns like crap and has always been my biggest complaint. I was looking at the chart for a 240” wheelbase T800 with a 20,000 front. The chart says it’s 40 feet. So today I was leaving our new job and there’s an old access street with curb and gutter, from curb to curb it’s 70’. I lined up square on the left curb and made the tightest turn I could, I had to jump the curb to complete the U turn. My turning circle to the right is 76’. I knew it was bad but not that bad. Going to the T800 would be night and day different. Doesn’t mean much just thought it was interesting.

I just texted him, his annual is 169500. I bet he was near to being over anyway, and his tare is 53k.

I can't do that. I get nervous as a lady of ill repute in church when I do.

Edit to add, he doesn't haul for hire, just his own equipment and that that he rents. He rented the 349.

I strongly dislike this “gotta drive into midnight” shift bs I’m doing tonight. Gotta at least make the stage stop or this trip is ####ed...
