Well it looks like I've got a rebuildable engine block. Needs one hell of a good cleaning. Any suggestions on a good way to get the water jackets and oil galleys cleaned out?

In the drilling industry we used a Copper Kote on the threads of the drill steel. Actual copper flakes in it. Good stuff.
The T4 ( beige color ) we had special drill steel made for it... 10” diameter and 25 feet long with Beco threads ( 1 thread per inch ). With the vibration you needed all the help you could get.
The Down the hole Hammer or Bit ( circled ) used a 300 lb piston and was hitting couple hundred times a minute. Really tightened the threads. -

This was one of our 2 379 Peterbilts. This was the 97 model, 550 Cat / 18 spd. We put a T6 National crane on it. Other crane was a 2000 T3 with a T4 National.
