I hate having a slow truck...
I won’t make Grand Junction and if I go towards Laramie watch 80 be closed Sunday with high winds... and even if it’s not I got 1500lbs to get across there in a QD
Sigh... 90s too many extra miles... might chance a rest area on Vail tomorrow I guess.

We’re fed. Guess I better get back to the yard and get sideways.

Glad this week is over.
Pictorial summary of the week:
Still got **** done. Sort of. Haven't figured out how to split myself like other simple organisms for an instant helper, but I got the second-to next best thing yesterday...
A new, new guy. After two days I can tell he's already leaps and bounds ahead of the guy we "ran off" a month ago. Hope it stays that way.Grubby, Tug Toy, jamespmack and 17 others Thank this. -
After riding the bench for a couple of months,I've come to the realization that daytime tv sucks.
However, found one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.
"Law Abiding Citizen"
You won't be disappointed. -
After reading about the collection of stuff @OLDSKOOLERnWV has I don't feel so out of control with my collection... I've got cars, trucks and tractors scattered around Evanston in about four places, some in utah and in Bennett, CO.
And I'm thinking if that duffel bag of money ever turns up on the side of the road or I hit a lottery jackpot I ought to build a big museum warehouse and then Jim can be the curator. We can charge people to come look at his stuff. And have truck parking, of course. -
It is my understanding that the pull on the threads of properly torqued bolts is what keeps them tight, not the friction from rust. -
make sure you have at least one and a half full wraps.
It is the best way in wet weather when going to freezing temps. (PNW to the rust belt in winter) -

The crew that places the most orders has fired up on a new location. Two company drivers are not working...one needs a reset and the other just doesn't like working nights and weekends. The two of them haven't done seven loads between the two of them since last weekend. Meanwhile I'm almost done unloading the third one today.
I can't understand how the hell a guy can work less than 8 hours a day and still run out of hours every five or six days.
For my sake I'm glad they have no problem letting it go on like this forever. Been this way for years, why fix it now. -
