    Interesting.

Georgia is almost as bad. They sell you a permanent plate for $40, then ad valorem tax is due to the county every year. It was a big deal when I was running 10 yr old trailers, out of the question with new ones. For that reason, the new ones were issued Maine titles from the get-go. As far as Georgia is concerned, they don't exist.

FYI I get mine done thru the Staab Agency. The registrations list my company care of their address in ME. Should the DOT get nosey, my approach is to turn my ball cap around and just act dumb. Something like the trailers are leased and they handled all that I'm just making payments. Edit to add: I been inspected a couple times since then and nothing was said.

Judging by the rate sheet, looks like the cost is still $15 + $15/yr up to 8 yrs, then the yearly goes up a little for the longer terms. 10 yrs is $175 (state fees, not including agency fees).

From the era and the look, kinda wondering if those were bespoke bodies like Duesenbergs. As-in, a buyer would buy the chassis from Marmon, then the body was made to order and installed by a carriage shop. Might have to research that LOL.

@shogun so your post about your new education about home entertainment system and sub woofers? Any advise. Told my buddy about your situation last night while working the smoker. This is a text I received minutes ago from him. His boy did not hear us talking about it either. So really asking for a friend this time.

$3000 for a coach ticket. Only 82 seats available. I believe I'll just check it out when I see them come through Evanston. I think they're going to overnight there

My Dad and I saw UP 844 when it stopped in Hutchinson some years back. Just looking at the mechanical side, and the timing to keep all the moving parts together, is pretty cool.
