It got better when the old dude came out and let him in on a little secret: the same parts fit em all from 32-53. And he didn't have to look them up.

I feel your pain. On a Sunday went to AutoZone. I needed a pinion seal for a 8.5 gm. Had to go thru the 2 or 4wd, ac, power locks, owned by a christian questions to have a kid tell me its not required according to his puter! I asked nicely, Wtf is gonna hold the oil in? He repeated that his puter said "not required.

Good night folks, aint driving in am, but need to be at shop early, and stayed up way to late tonight.

The Moose head ain’t getting anywhere near the tap! Oh hell no!

Only Gentleman and Women with the ability to strongarm sidewalk sissies are allowed at Stwiks bar! We don’t serve Coors, Keystone, or Bud Light so don’t ask and if you do feel free to #### off to Applebee’s instead!

Well I like your lack of beer selection, but I was thinking about a real once live moose tap handle, but the sheer weight could damage the tap seals.

    I agree big time.
I bought a little resonator to run "just for looks" ahead of the Y pipe in case I got in hot water some day. It had a plate completely blocking the pipe for a baffle with tiny tiney holes in it. Any amount of soot would have plugged them in no time.

I'd pin the pump and pin the flywheel and set it to static since its 24-28 degree timing. A 7FB in my opinion is maybe the best B model they made with the exception of the older style timing advance. That could be an issue with you engine also.

The timing advance spools were known to wear out and have issues.

Edit to add: and if you can find someone with a meter, it would be a good idea to have someone that knows how to use one meter time it in my opinion. That can tell you alot about the advance

Most around here that I trust say they’re not familiar with Cat and the ones that say they’re familiar I don’t trust.

I’m even going have to set the valve lash myself because nobody even wants to do that. About 4 yrs ago the government changed the rules for an annual safety. Now the mechanics have to pull every wheel to inspect brakes. It takes so long they don’t have time to do anything but safeties now

Green salsa is good. But lately I have been using a brand called Kylito's. It's good on almost everything.
