Do you permit for it? When I pulled 9 I’d permit for length, I did it like that to get under the length for an escort.wore out, SAR, IH Truck Guy and 17 others Thank this.

I am oversize no matter what I do - the trailer with the neck flipped is 62’ and has 9’ wide axles. So I only stack the booster if it going to require me to have pilot cars - like if I go to FL - then LA MS AL and FL
Require a pilot at 90’ or 95’. This gets spendy fast. It also a pain in the posterior to remove and put back on. And can be spendy if I have to use a wrecker.
So in IN Il MO IA where I am likely to load next - I can leave it down and the permit cost is the same -
Crazy thing is in the 4 years he owned that truck from brand new I don't think he ever had an electrical issue. Solid truck. Heavy duty huck bolted frame, 46k rears, 4.56 ratio, Hendrickson extended leaf walking beam, 18 speed, 500 hp Series 60. Had more issues with the 3rd stage jake solenoids crapping out every 9 months than anything else. Truck spent most of its life off highway too.
