Glad you asked. A guy at work has a single cab turbo silverado he wants to sell on slicks. If I qualify for the grant and demonstrate that I'm needy, I will get it. Gotta swap to a radial, 275/70r17 x2. Thanks

A guy at work answers his phone when he get's those spam kind of calls with....."Crisis center, what's your crisis?", then there's always this long pause because you know the person on the other end is thinking about it then he'll repeat it......"Crisis center, what's your crisis?", because you know they're saying, "huh"? lol.

I was going to say something about traveling and eating where the locals eat, but that reminds me of something that I found out about the TA in Baytown Texas. They eventually want to turn that Country Pride into an IHOP. Why? Brand recognition for tourists.

The restaurant is struggling. I told the restaurant manager that the reason why is 50% of your parking spaces are pay spots. I can understand 10, but half the spot? Just to park? Stupid thing to do considering the number of restaurants and truck stops between that TA and the Beaumont Petro.

As usual, beancounters can never see the big picture.

They replaced the Iron Skillet with a Black Bear franchise. All the food is pre made and trucked in (these nitwits don’t want to pay for someone that can actually cook, and choose to sell precooked frozen food) and it tastes like it. Fine, I have no problem walking to the Twin Peaks.

One of the little things that has me shaking my head here in Miami is how fellows act around women. I don't want to point fingers at any ethnic groups, it's the main group down here. The carribean nation, you know which.
When a woman is nearby, the men talk loud and with much flamboyance. Even when they're not speaking directly to a woman. They brag about everything, especially the money they're bringing in. The girls working the service areas in the stores seem to be accustomed to it. They are surprised when I speak to them like a gentleman. Especially when I say Thank You.

    Morning gents!

Haven't been around much, but things are going well! Not working very hard but getting paid very well!

Getting sent home for the weekend, and the season looks like it might be done completely at this point. I'm not complaining though, I've made more every hour of every day I've worked over what I made at my old company, and I'm not pushing myself to or over my limit.

Paid delays, paid breakdowns and fair pay for work done, I'm very happy and am getting very excited about the next couple months. Fuel training and asphalt, both entirely new things.
