I've always seen China as a.... let's say 'conduit'.... He provides the info, then it's potential driver's job to go get it. Whether they succeed or fail is entirely up to them after the exchange of info.... I would only dare suggest that any driver worth their salt wouldn't be coming to TTR going 'Guys, I screwed the pooch. Who will hire me now?'.... For instance, I believe in '2'nd Chance' companies. I trained a guy, worked with his wife before trucking. He spent 10 in Upstate NY for Armed Robbery. He was a good dude, got into a bad situation, been clean a long time and doing well at keeping the train on the tracks.... does it mean he could drive? Not really. All during training I noticed very little right-hand mirror observance - and I made it known. Ultimately he lost his job because of a failed right hand turn where he grabbed a huge boulder with the tag axle and dragged it into the middle of the road - what's worse is he didn't own up to it until camera evidence was presented... Some guys think they need it to be 100% perfect all the time and to admit / acknowledge a failing means you've failed as a driver.... But ya gotta own it. It's the only way to keep the job and get better.... I mean hell, I've knocked my own bumper off in a #### near empty drop yard in Ohio.... Ashamed? Yep. Owned it? Yep. Moved on? Yep.
You must have stepped out to read the headlines on the board. Lol.
It's the same ####, over and over and over and over again since I joined 3 years ago... I'm sure it goes back much further than that. It's impossible to help someone who is incapable of helping themselves..... So, the other side of the China story: He might as well be yelling at the deaf - in most cases with which we're presented here.cke, Czar_Zero, jamespmack and 20 others Thank this.
