Ok I know you’ve discussed this at length but I’m going to be in the market. The new truck will have a Cobra 29 and of course factory wiring. I’ve never owned what I would consider a nice radio. I had a Cobra 29 that was a great radio but this stupid Western Star ruined it, I had a 148 after that but it quit to. I had the Uniden 880 that didn’t last long. Right now I have the Road King and it seems to be ok. What do you recommend that will fit where the 29 fits? I don’t need side bands or anything.

Yes you certainly do. I ain’t got the head turning truck yet, but I’ve got a smokin radio. I’m just doing it in reverse order.

I’ve ran a general lee for years. After a while they all take a beating. But I’ve been happy with them overall. It fits in the radio hole. Tight but it fits.

Side mic radios are what usually presents a challenge when it has to go in a cubby. But it can usually be done.

General Lee is a dang good radio.
