I've been thinking of trading up to a 4300. I have a 3300 HP-ZX now that I've ran since 1996. It needs to go in the shop now. Do you think the 43 is worth getting?

I have a 3300 hp that his man fixed for me, put me in the damndest bind yall ever seen read or heard about. I like it and the General Lee so well I can't decide which one I like best. My hired hand ran with me other day and when I hooked that connex up he said hold it right there glue the knobs down it's perfect. Mr Bob is 70 and grumpy bout everything cept that connex radio. We got home he put it in his truck with a big smile on his face

 

The 4300 is discontinued. You’d have to upgrade to the 4400, 4600, or General HP40. All those are 110-150 watt radios so your coax and antenna needs to be dialed in. I have the HP40 and 4600, both great radios, anywhere from $280-350 new plus tune and conversion.

I’ve gotten several 3300’s fixed for friends recently. My tech knows that radio in and out. He won’t gouge you either, you just gotta send it down to Flora, Ms. @wore out said his hadn't worked right in years and he and it fixed in about five minutes. If you decide to get it fixed send me a PM.

 

Well...had enough! Parked over off 23 heading into @OLDSKOOLERnWV neck of the woods in the a.m. Then down to Greer to get a load going to my favoritist place on Earth!!

 

I'd be ok with keeping this radio. I don't really want anything I have to worry on all the time. Being in a car carrier has some challenges when it comes to antenna set up I've been told. Because of mounting and put cars on and off the roof. Next time I'm down y'all's way I'll give a holler and see if I can get hooked up with one of y'all.

 

I like to flip on the oversized lights while parked just to feel like I’m in the big boy club.
