Yeah that's the company that makes ours. Lytx Drivecam.
If it's an older variant it isn't too intrusive (the one I got now). Their newer ones are a safety coordinators wet dream -- especially if they have them synced into radar sensors / automated braking on these newer trucks.
Where is everyone #5

My opinion is pretty...millennial.
With that being said, I've really come to terms with what a ####ing PITA they truly are for the driver. And it's one of the reasons I'm looking to jump in September. One of the many reasons...4mer trucker, SAR, ShooterK2 and 4 others Thank this. -
Automatic brakes.....

Don’t even get me started on that mess.
I don’t have all that yet, but I can’t imagine what that must be like in a snowstorm. Our drivers are already having issues with that. -
Nice clean placeZeviander, 4mer trucker, SAR and 3 others Thank this.

You know... I just don't get it.
My mother leased a new car on Christmas. I went home a week later and drove it a bit -- 2017 Toyota Corolla. Not gonna lie, small cars have never been my thing, but I didnt think it drove entirely bad and it was decent on the interior. The biggest annoyance? Standard automatic braking.
I can not, for the life of me, imagine anything good about having automatic braking on a 80000# truck. Holy ####. No thanks. Not gonna happen with me behind the wheel. Add the fact that you cannot disable it on our new 680s, the drivecam is synced to it, and that now affects our bonus pay opportunity? Yeah, no thanks.Tug Toy, 4mer trucker, SAR and 6 others Thank this. -
I’m pretty sure I’d get fired for something dumb. It sucks because other than that , they seem great

You should see some of the complaints about Saia in the LTL section. They go above and beyond even this crap by prohibiting CB’s from their trucks.
And they wonder why nobody wants to work there. They can go #### in their hat as far as I’m concerned.

The driver is expendable to these companies. They see us as a tool, a means to an end, and not a person or even an employee.Tug Toy, 4mer trucker, SAR and 2 others Thank this.

Good deal. I was in El Centro in '91 & '92 for wheat harvest. It was cool, but until recently, I hadn't had any desire to go back. Now, I'd like to go back just to see how much it's changed in that area.
On a side note, November gives us plenty of time to convince you the KS/OK area is better.
Hurricane69, 4mer trucker, SAR and 5 others Thank this.
