Where is everyone #5

The worst that currently happens to me is my lane departure system will go off like crazy through a construction zone or when I'm driving eastbound into a blinding sunrise the light will screw with the sensor. It'll occasionally pickup cracks in the road and mistake it for the "lane" and throw a pissy fit.

The good news is I can turn the system off momentarily and the system itself isn't anything more than a deterrent.

But when you give me a system that I can't disable, ever, and it affects the truck and how it drives... I'm out. Especially after hearing stories like the ones you posted. They were the lucky ones.

 

Friend of mine just scored a liner in his fresh inframe....culprit bent piston cooler tube.....reason didn't pull them out and when he dropped in the new pistons rod hit and bent it. Told him to pull them but he didn't listen. 1500 miles before it scored....I'm amazed he got that far !!

 

What engine?
Was it leaving the piston dry?

 

If you can’t find a truck driver job in Indiana..... you don’t want to work.

I’m right across the Illinois border if worse comes to worse. We always got an empty truck.

 

Now it's 12-16" tomorrow.
My load tonite cancelled, I pushed tomorrow's load til Thursday and the reload til L Thursday and D Friday am.

No raccoon- trap was engaged and empty. #### trap has a hair trigger. I'm wondering if it got set off just from vibrations or wind. Hard to get it to stay open just setting there :/

 

Is it a 1 door or 2 door trap? I have a 2 door and have had really good luck. I used to set the catch right at the end and had a lot of empty set off traps. After setting it all the way to the back, I've caught something every time I use it.
I think my wife has a picture of our daughter's yorkie in mine somewhere, I forgot to put it up high before letting her out one morning. We couldn't figure out why she was taking so long.

 

Single door. The double door trap my father had got wrecked: he had good luck with it at his stores, til some psycho found a raccoon in it one morning, tied a rope to the top of the cage and kept throwing the whole cage in the lake n dragging it out n then finally shot it all to #### right thru the cage.

No respect for a male that waterboards and shoots a caged animal, specially a small animal.

I use a conibear body trap.
