It’s not luck when it comes to ranching. I knew a kid in fourth grade, his mother was the strong independent type who made poor life choices. She had several kids by different men and spent most nights away from home.

He milked the cows, set the hay bales out, branded, sorted and took care off 250 cows. He now has 1000 head and a successful farming business, and women always approach him when he’s out. He stays focused on the business, and I respect that.

got to drive by this last night twice, the Spot James Dean was killed.

Cal Trans decided it was a great idea to start painting lines from 8pm - 6am on a road that only has two lanes. so we get the yellow vest guys playing traffic control device. holding up 3 miles of traffic one direction then repeat on the other direction.

I was coming down 41 S to meet the 46w to head to SLO and points south, when i can see for miles the construction ahead. So its easily navigated, till i decide its time to come back from the 101 at 2am.

talk about feeling small when you have fog and stopped traffic pinning you up to a K-Rail or Jersey barrier 30 feet from Dean memorial.
