Well, get to work and my left headlight's blown. My spare isn't working for some reason, swap the high beam in since its the same.
Guy says his hub is low on oil on the trailer(shocked that he checked really) so I check it and tell him to fill it up with gear oil from the T/S since its not a leak. Another guy has a signal out so I put in a spare 3157 bulb I keep to get him by.

Load is 1.5 hours late, brakes won't release so me and my hammer go under the trailer and do some light persuasion. Its all downhill from here, boys.

Have a happy Thursday, I'm finally headed north to kick these stops off.

So many guys on TTR try to turn every subject into a Big Pickle contest. That’s what the teenage boys do to impress a stupid girl. “Hey, she’s hot! Let’s whip out the peckers and see who has the biggest one!” Pathetic. Trying to say that the only mountains to worry about are out west is like saying it only snows in the PNW.

A grade is a grade. Doesn’t matter how big the grade is, you do the exact same process and you will never have an issue.

“But Six, what about Cabbage and Vail Pass?”

(Yawning) Notice how the Canadians are quiet? They’re laughing at you guys again. There aren’t even any women involved, and you guys are wanking. Be sure to wash your hands before eating.

    Forgot to mention...

You know how you go into a truck stop restaurant and you hear that guy that has to one up everyone in the restaurant and has pulled every kind of load known to man? Lots of time, that guy isn’t a driver...he’s repeating stories that he’s heard. It will sound good to a rookie, but there will be something that don’t jive, and don’t add up to a veteran that’s been out there.

The rookie will think, “truck stop restaurant, and a guy telling trucking stories, he must be a truck driver!”

Same thing goes with this site. They allow anyone in here to post. There’s a number of them that post in here that have never driven a truck. And the worst thing is, they lurk this thread for their info. It doesn’t make sense to them, but they will go tell your stories to someone else. And so, when some rookie comes looking for advice, he gets some nonsensical half baked responses that doesn’t make any sense.

I've also seen people give some bad mechanical advice on here. You're reading it thinking "this person has absolutely no business giving advice." But its the internet and that's how it goes.

Ehh that’s because there aren’t that many Canadians on here. I’ve heard my share of bragging from them about how we don’t know how to truck because their hills are steeper than ours and they have weather and all the rest of it. They’re just as big of “pickle” compareres as anyone else.
