Funny I never had trouble building calves with calf raises. Biceps were always my problem. I was in the gym religiously in college for three years and only gained 5 lbs. only later did I find out I wasn’t eating enough. Once I started taking in ~5000 calories In a 3:2:1 ratio I really started to get bigger. Lots of fat yes, but once a month I’d cut out the protein shakes and the fat would fall right off because my metabolism was so fast. Probably couldn’t do that while trucking
