You shouldn't assume other folks have the same goals you do. Narcissism is not a "humble" characteristic.

There's some irony in eating a humble pie.... It tastes bitter & salty, kinda disgusting to the layman..... Kinda like rhubarb.... an acquired taste. If you learn to ignore the acerbic acrimony, you might get to like it....... It's not a flavor for everyone tho.....

One of the things my dad told me from what I call “Dads milking parlor wisdom” was that I was a white male and I had two choices, go to work or go to jail. So far he’s been right. This was before the gay thing got big so I have to amend it to “straight whit male” but the logic applies.
