    Sorry to bring this up again but I forgot to say that there are TWO reasons why a cold solder joint forms. One, not enough heat when doing the task.
    Two, keeping reworking the solder or heating it too long and the tin and the lead begin to separate from each other, which ruins the eutectic effect. ( won't melt easily )

    If they begin to break down, get rid of the old solder on the joint ( wicking it off with fine stranded bare copper wire ) and start with fresh solder. Fresh will have a chromy shine to it.

    Wow I'm a dumb ###..

    My confirmation email had two additional pages, guess what was on said pages ?
    Looks like I have a total of 16 drops on this load. 1st two are Phoenix area, next 14 are scattered from San Diego to San Jose..

    Sitting in Effingham now having supper think'n about how bad Cali will suck next week.

    Yea mostly that's it. If for some reason the opener disks don't penetrate to the full depth setting (stones, hard soil conditions, not enough weight on the drill when the seed box is nearly empty etc) then there is no pressure on the press wheels.
