    Rowe equipment out of Otter Bien,Indiana quoted me $7500. Frame stretched and sleeved, axle, suspension, controls, everything but wheels and tires.

    South of San Antonio, West side of 35...there’s a shop that does custom truck builds. I’m thinking anywhere between $2500-3500

    Yep. I know he paid way too much. I guess maybe he thought it meant something to have the dealer do it. If it's done right I don't see why paying double is worth it.

    I’ve got a frame drill and a torch. I don’t give any kind of warranty. I also got a welder, well I got a welding machine. Ain’t no welder around though

    Yes there sure is a lot of them, last couple times I was there I noticed a bad parking problem had been amplified.

    On the end or between the steering and drive axles?

    If you do it yourself may I recommend piano wire..... ? Took a single axle International road tractor and stretched it to accommodate a crane and a 20’ flat bed. Some good 3”x3”x3/8” angle iron is your Freind as well. A good concrete floor with adjustable stands and cribbing, good torch, good welder, good level and tape rule, and some patient it’s actually pretty easy. Sometimes finding a replacement section of driveline close to your desired length and adding frame to match, is cheaper than a whole new tube to match the frame after you add to the frame.
