I check Craigslist, Facebook LS groups, perfromancetruck.net and ls1tech and racingjunk all the time. A used 6.0 complete with 200k on it will run you $1800+. A nice one with forged internals, just a short block. $3500+.

I remember the hot deal way back when was adding an airbag in the coil spring to "preload" the suspension. Don't know how well it worked but I remember dudes swearing by it!! I wish Chevy would have put that suspension in the Nova I hated my leafs!

Exactly, they do the same thing, amazing difference. It can be a real pita, figuring it out. I run a spool,so I've got a lot of help there. You can preload the right rear with the air bag thing, but I do know, the lower the car sits in the back, the better it hooks. I also relocated my battery to the rite rear, doesn't hurt putting weight where you need it.

That'll work! Should make a dramatic difference, when you get it dialed in. My friend Steve runs the old upper Lakewood No hop relocation brackets on his 69 Chevelle 12 bolt,he runs a drag radial automatic, can dead hook it.

Bob,I haven't been to the track with the Elky in a year and a half. Other projects keep getting in the way, other priorities,we all know how that works. I spin the motor over every couple of months, haven't fired it for a while, though, and it needs fuel,110 octane, and I'm out of that,$10.00 a gallon! One of these days, yeah.
