Well, define Real Biker...

 

This, and to revert to the judging based upon individual characteristics bit, is why I have more white people I dislike than any other color. I despise their personality. I know them. Their ilk.... I'm all for giving anyone a fair shot, but I'm only going to get burned once per individual.

I also agree with this.... but IMO (for me, in my day to day) the 'act' part will always supercede how you look. Usually the two correlate, sometimes not..... but looks are important to shallow minds, which most are, so again - I agree with ya JD (and @Oxbow)

This is true, fella.
There was no claim / testament..... but my misinterpretation did open up an interesting avenue of discussion, be it bad luck or chance.

 

Not me, no tats and the scooter aint even got plates on it this year.

 

The same can be said about H-D motorcycles....lots of weekend pirates towing two wheels around these days.

 

Real bikers ride a BMW R1200GSA loaded out with everything from the Motorrad catalog. Doesn't throw a leg over their ADV bike without being ATGATT in Klim gear topped with a Shoei helmet that not only meets DOT standards but Snell, too. Lastly, don't you DARE mispronounce "Pannier" when referring to their side cases covered in Twisted Throttle stickers.

Dominance as real bikers is asserted by calling other enthusiasts "Pirates"

 

I know everyone has a street glide and cut of sleeves. I've dressed the same since I was little. Flannel, jeans, boots. Not all these hipster neck beards wanna dress like a lumber jack, trucker, biker. Maybe I need a new style. I just love stripped down bikes, regular cab pickups.

 

Towed a girls BMW that lost the trans with 255,000 miles. Said it was her dads and she will fix it and keep riding it. Said she had put 100k on it herself. "I know I'm not a real biker". I told her Ms. you put 100k on a 1980's BMW, your more of a biker than most people on bikes.

 

I can fit in pretty well in any machismo crowd. I'm almost an identical twin to Don Knotts, the most physically imposing Man ever born.

 

Should have asked her how many times the final drive caught fire.

All joking aside, I'd snag up a R1200GSA in a heartbeat. Sexy.
