You did what needed to be done partner. I know you had it much rougher than I did growing up. I was raised right: don’t drink, don’t smoke, church on Sunday, help those that need it. Just like most kids, I went through that rebellious stage back when I knew it all.

Me and three of my closest beer buddies went to the hospital that day. I was a dumb kid, immature, and scared to death cuz now I got a kid. I knew NOTHING about being a parent. It was the last thing I wanted.

They wouldn’t let my friends into the room. Just me cuz I’m the dad. So they went outside and counted the windows on that wing.... I opened the window and handed my baby boy wrapped up in a blue blanket out and they passed him around. Bear, I’ve never been so dam proud. It was a feeling I’d never had. Now life wasn’t just about me anymore. I cried a little and I wasn’t even ashamed. He looked just like me (still does).

I knew it was time to shape up.

Maybe he didn’t have time to........ dang, no.
Maybe tripping over his words cuz he’s got so much to say all at once and he overloaded the keyboard! That’s it!!

 

Well from the few pics you've posted of him and your grandson it appears the fruit hasn't fallen far from the tree. Your paternal instincts at such a young age have paid off in spades.
