No, I dislike my truck. But it’s what was given to me. I’m waiting patiently on a new one because despite the bad here, and wanting to go local, I enjoy SPD. I dislike the Eaton — which is a pretty wildly disliked transmission — but it’s the card I was dealt.

“You cried about Melton.”
When? I had my issues with the way the company was ran and more importantly the direction it was going. So I left. They did me wrong countless times and I was met with a wall when I tried to get into something else during my issues with the 660. Wouldn’t say that’s crying, your mileage may vary. I disliked my time their overall — but it was my doing. Why would I cry about that?

“I put down other Melton drivers.”
Were you there? No? Got me shocked. I treat other flatbedders the way any of the rest of you would — they need help and ask, sure. I keep my mouth shut a lot because I don’t have tenure — but I’ll never sit there and watch someone struggle unless they’ve already told me “no.”

I pick on melton drivers. Mostly because their easy to pick on. The same way we all pick on the megas. Let’s not pretend like you’re suddenly there cheerleader.
Yes, some good hands work at those companies. Few and far between. That’s not who we’re talking about... pretend you care about them all a sudden. Interesting.

Uhhhh, do I even bother here? Why would I cry when going home after 3-4 months on the road?

The horror! God ####, I respect my girlfriend and her feelings. I let it go and speak when it matters. So. ####ing. Bad. Of. Me.

I don’t stand at attention. We’re adults. We know when to press each other and when to cool it — I don’t lose sleep over it — you seem to think otherwise and it’s got me laughing up over here. You assume so much about everyone else and their personal situation that is hard to believe you even have friends to compare peckers with.



I’m curious who this Melton driver is that I’ve looked down upon? I recommended for those looking at them to do their research. I had a pretty rough year there, but still recommended them as a starter company when people asked about them on here... because I do think their a decent place to get your foot in the door. I don’t think there a decent place to stay with long term... I can’t recall any Melton driver I’ve outright dumped on. I’ve ran into a few that weren’t worth their salt... but you’re giving me more #### than I ever gave them so maybe we should be giving you the intervention instead?

I like SPD. I don’t like my truck. It has problems that are not necessarily their fault. I don’t point fingers. I don’t blame them for it. It is what it is. A #### near 600k mileage ISX without a rebuild — it’s gonna have issues. I don’t like our fleet specced trucks, sorry if that makes you believe I’m crying over it. It’s not like their forcing me with employment? I can leave if it’s that rough. So a lot of this is just you pissing in the wind because I struck a nerve.

I’ve looked at Hackl, spoke with them, I got another year on the insurance requirement of 25 years old. I may go there. I may stay put and do OD here at SPD... I’m leaning towards SPD.


What’s more troubling is you assume I have to live up to the standards Dye set, in your mind. I’m my own person, from a different family, from a whole different set of combinations than Dye and I’m honestly frustrated you would bring him into this just to push your shit personal agenda on here. As you have said in the past, Goethe intercourse thyself, on that one. Not nearly as Manly as you tout.




Listen, I put a lot of BS on here for the fun of it, always have. I enjoy discoursing with Humble over trivial matters, Shooters and Snowman quips, Pole and Super with their butter tyriads, 4mer and 51 with the old wisdom, Moose with... Moose, Bear and 51 who work in interesting fields and I can share a lot of 51s firehouse world with the girlfriend back home, Rank and Sar (please can we hear from him?) and farming — something I was never around growing up.. and how could I forget Ron, JD, Czar and Ruger our PNWers, Wore, Sawmill, Ruthless and Bigcam and their northeast adventures, Hurricane... all of them. I appreciated everything we all share with each other. But realize we all embellish from on here.... and even if that’s not the case... when did I ever cry over something I caused? Hell.

I’m not losing sleep over my self-inflicted situation nor I’m I crying over it. Pick a new ######## argument to press. You ain’t getting anywhere on me with this one. I’m living and learning.

If you don’t like me, because of your personal interpretations of what I Man should be, I think you need a new ####ing book. Am I calling myself a man? Nope, Man in the making. Finding my way as always. This thread has always thrown #### at me, that’s cool, I don’t mind.. if I did I wouldn’t still be here, would I? Sawmill has outright called me an idiot more than once and yet he still shows me a decent hand when the cards are down. I respect that. I’ve called Catalina over the RGN debacle... he helped me out without complaint... I respect the hell outta that. Someday maybe I’ll get to teach them something new or interesting, about trucking or otherwise.
