    Regarding the "yellow flaps" in the pic posted it is hard to tell but, the yellow looks to me like the gap between the trailing edge of the wing and the flap in the trail position. On swept wing airplanes the flaps are known as Fowler flaps, they move back and have a gap sorta like a mini bi-wing. If the flaps were indeed yellow, they could be replacements. Long ago I used to fly for a company that did completions on airplanes. We would get "green" airplanes the green could be green or yellowish primer.
