A turtle (TMC) was egging him on and I just couldn’t take it. Took my drink and made a very long “trip to the buffet” that turned into a trip across the restaurant away from the counter to a booth. Peace and quiet.

Made it safely to Birmingham...

Outta all the trucks I’ve recovered this one has been the nicest and most well-kept. Former Marine by the looks of a key-chain he left behind and the military fleet sticker on the cab... securement is well-kept and organized, probably lost a good driver for a brighter future on this one...

You can typically tell how good a driver is performing pay-wise just by how neat they stow their ####.

 

Perhaps he quit because he went broke. Some times, the guys you are describing break out the measuring tape to put their securement exactly at 10 ft.

 

I-75 north at the 109 mm in Ohio, flatbed setting in the median. Must have dozed off. 2 bubble gums checking in on him. He was in the drivers seat with dome light on.

 

I'm thinking I need to charge extra for the white stuff....

 

Is it my bad luck or are people just completely full of ####?

Old boss has turned into a ghost. Trucks and trailers sitting in storage yard, the 2 lease trucks are sitting as well and my old boss tried to screw the owner over on his pay. That guy asked me yesterday morning to go to Texarkana with him to pick up another truck today, then last night tells me the truck wont be ready till Friday and he's in Oklahoma till Thurs. Yesterday morning he told me the truck was repaired and had been sitting there waiting to be picked up.

I just dont get people and their bs.

 

Sounds like you need to plan on NOT getting paid for your work. I don’t think I’d be trying to get ahold of him anymore except to get my last check.

 

I already knew Im not getting paid and I haven't wasted any more time attempting to even contact him. Its just the constant lies and bs.

I could kill it down here with my own truck, but I just dont have the capitol to do that without selling my excavation equipment and its just not a sacrifice Im willing to make because that equipment still makes me $ on the side.

 

That could be the case. It’s every 5 feet here at big blue. Could easily waste 2 hours securing some loads to company specs
