This is true, they’re stringent because they have to be not because they want to be. With as many drivers as they have they must likely have some good ones but I would guess most aren’t. I’ve never had any official securement “training” but my loads are safe and legal. All of those companies would be a serious step backwards for me.

Situation about an hour ago:
Best BBQ I've had since stopping in KC on the way to Naw'lins Xmas 2015. I forgot what good BBQ was like. Sweetwater BBQ. East side of I44 exit 163. Across from the Road Ranger / P-lot. $12 after tax for more food than I needed.
Also, when you realize you are one of the few "hoods" left on the road :
I got to my unload in Springfield with 20 mins left on my 8 hour clock, 15 minutes before they stop receiving. I wasn't expecting to make it when I ended up in Sioux City last night, but luck was on my side.
Now I'm pointed towards St. Louis, heading for El Paso, IL for my reload going back to the yard. Going to be an ugly load (structural steel) but it's no tarp and I wanted to be home Saturday. So it couldn't have worked out much better.sawmill, 4mer trucker, cke and 12 others Thank this. -
Been there, sadly
Aero aero aero aero aero aero my truck aero aero aero aero old FL Classic aero aero aero aero aero....
But then you hit the midwest and it's the opposite. Can't hardly turn around without hitting a hood. Well, figuratively, I mean. It's odd seems like east coast is more vans n reefers, and aeros. Midwest is hoppers and bullracks. South is a mixed bag. West is a little more flatbed with lumber.sawmill, Zeviander, BoostedTeg and 9 others Thank this. -

I was told they was a pretty decent outfit when the old man was running.... Then the kid took over and I think they about went under. There headquarters was out south of the airport by a bar with questionable lady's that we used to frequent when I worked third shift....they opened at 9am.wore out, 4mer trucker, cke and 6 others Thank this. -
Shouldn't go anywhere inside the Conestoga, but knowing my luck temps will rise and melt my extra payload lol.wore out, 7-UP, 4mer trucker and 8 others Thank this.

Pretty common theme anymore, place was great when the old man ran it, kid took over and ruined it.
