Never drove one, but gramps had a Spicer air shift 16 in a Reo cabover and a Big Al. -
12 speed was probably some old Brownie combination,with a 4 speed main box,and a 3 speed auxillary. Also,I think Spicer had a 12 speed air shift trans back then. I've driven the air 4x4 Spicers,actually a pretty cool transmission.
