Here’s a poorly shot unedited somewhat indescript video of my Sierra when it was just a 402 stroker. The boxes at the end are the turbo kit that’s on it now. Skip to 00:50 to hear it run. I gotta find the vacuum leak so that idle will smooth out. Got the cutouts barely cracked open, NO CATS. TAKE THAT, California!!!!!

So I crawl out this morning to do my pre trip.
I will say I don’t always do the most thorough job in the morning ( like no tire gauge) but usually do a walk around at last 3 times a day. I got fuel about 120 miles after pickup yesterday and parked about 70 miles after that in the dark. I did a walk around during fueling and grabbed the chains on the drivers side a tug to check for slack and replaced a broken bungee.
During this mornings walk around I find one of the chains with MAJOR slack. WTF? I walk around expecting a broken hook or attachment point. Nope chain is unhooked?
It was a ratchet binder that was about 2 in thereads showing so the binder did not back off? The other 4 chains and 2 straps all still tight? I have no explanation as to what happened?
Don’t forget to check your securement kids!whoopNride, Zeviander, ShooterK2 and 10 others Thank this. -

Got a question for the board here.
Here's the scenario.
I'm building (2) 11' long "accessory boxes" to go underneath of a new moffett flatbed. There's about 5" or so of arch in the trailer when it's empty. Due to the arch, I can only attach at the ends of the boxes. Originally, we were going to bolt to the cross members and weld angle iron tabs on the back of the box that would sit on top of the lower flange on the main beams. The owner then wanted to bolt and weld these tabs to the bottom flange.
Will the distance between cross members increase when a flatbed is loaded and the arch comes out?
Basically, if I take a measurement between the two cross members we want for mounting, with the trailer empty (120" for example), and then load the trailer taking the arch out, will the measurement lengthen (grow to say 120 1/4" or thereabout)?
In my mind, even though you still have the same length trailer, the distance from endpoint to endpoint will change because of the arch.
I hope I explained that as clear as mud. Here is a picture of an existing box on their old trailer. I didn't build or mount the box, but made the door. The old trailer had very little arch left when they bought it and had the box made. So far, they haven't had any issues.
ShooterK2, Zeviander, Shock Therapy and 8 others Thank this.
