I used to pick those up there several times a week because I was the only person at the Toledo terminal with a TWIC card.Al. Roper, SL3406, PoleCrusher and 11 others Thank this.

I’m curious since you get around, how useful is that TWIC card? I have mine and I’ve never used it. I realize I don’t go to ports anymore but I used to, how often do you use it?Al. Roper, Feedman, PoleCrusher and 15 others Thank this.

I have one and use it a good bit at the Ports. Also after standing in line at an Air Force Base for an hour I found out they're good there also.we could have bypassed the whole check in process. Well they used to be. Haven't been to a military base since operating.

Interesting, I was just curious. I originally got mine when the first cane out because I ran Dundalk a lot and they were going to require it. Don’t think I ever went back after I got it.

Rarely need it or use it however on the once a year occasion that I do need it, it's not something that you can get by without. I'd say if there's ever a chance of needing to go to any port it's worth having however places like military bases that "supposedly" accept them do not and arguing with the guy holding the M-16 doesn't do any good. Most all sea ports will also require their own ID in addition to the TWIC card. Ports like Savannah, GA will allow X number of entries without their port card per calendar year or previous 12 months etc however once you reach that number your not going in again until you get their ID.Al. Roper, Feedman, PoleCrusher and 13 others Thank this.
