And maybe he can get us discounts on prescriptions. In another 4 years who knows how much medicine will cost. Got a friend I work with who has gout, $300 a month for his prescription. His sister doesn’t work and it’s less than $10 a month for hers. Insane.

Lol... I always ask what I'm Hauling and where is it, I want to see it. I was told I was only Hauling a couple barrels. Ended up with 5 sticks of steel 20' or so long added at the last minute. So I had the loaded barrels put on the back, and the one little cutoff piece. It could have been throwed in the barrel too.

Thanks!
Use to haul a lot of water to the drilling rigs growing up. My uncle would fill a 55 gal drum just over 3/4 full then lay a board in the top of it. Board would float on the water and minimized it splashing out during short run transport.
Yea it's kinda hard sometimes to keep a clear mind with straps across a barrel during transport. Some guys will pull so hard it caves the sides in on open tops like these. If I'm Hauling pallets of barrels 2 wide, 3 barrels per pallet I use my 8 foot 4x4's to bridge between them down each side, and put my chains and or straps across the timbers. I've never had a problem or lost a load.1951 ford, Crusader66, Hurricane69 and 6 others Thank this. -

I made that mistake once... ONCE... EMJ in Schaumburg. They had a metal knot similar to what OldSkooler has there. Figured it couldn’t be more than 40-50 pounds... as I could slide it around rather easier... well, ha ####ing ha, it was around 150 pounds. Nearly dropped it to the ground.
It wasn’t banded to a pallet. They just had it on the deck. I didn’t care to throw a 2” on it, so I was moving it to the passenger floor.
You ever see someone walk down a set of stairs and they think there’s one more step? That was me. “Oh ####!” Cursed to myself but managed to get it to the floor of my passenger seat. The EMJ night crew was hollering in laughter.
####ers.

If I had to guess, Id say that little chunk is around 300lbs.1951 ford, Crusader66, ShooterK2 and 4 others Thank this.

Just saw on the skid where it said net 125#. Concentrated weight like that is much more difficult to move. My dad hauled a triple axle 20’ container one time that had lead sheeting only a few inches high, weighed 60k.

Ha. Just went back and saw that. I was guessing that piece was 12" diameter by about 10" tall.
I hauled a lot of little dinky sh@t like that when I ran hotshot. Looked reallly stupid with a pallet like that on a 40ft gooseneck.1951 ford, Crusader66, ShooterK2 and 3 others Thank this.
