Surprising the local Hooters was in some dumb ### plaza, next to a chuckeecheese/ borders books. So you can see no one even saw the place.
It closed.

So my kid wanted to go-to the tilted kilt. I assume the hooter girls moved to tilted kilt.

MJ sent me a pic from last weekend that I'm gonna hafta frame. My old 720 clearing out the skeeters.

 

I don't really look at it as "Honest talk", (my opinion), I look at it as reality. As far as I'm concerned we're already in a crisis, been there for a while and it's nothing that's going to change, ever. I forget now who said the other day he didn't like the way the country was headed and my reply was......"we're not headed anywhere, we're already there". We, (some of us older ones), see it as a crisis because of the way we grew up. We either adjust or join in. It's been talked about numerous times here, amongst friends, family, coworkers, it's not what we're use to.

The younger ones? It's what they've grown up with for the most part, some can remember when most folks were decent, I don't really know what the cutoff age for that is when people remember being alive before all of this technology just like our grandparents talk about times before TV, indoor bathrooms, A/C, phones maybe or a car.

I'm sure everyone here has seen the videos, heard the stories, and probably pretty much feel the same way. The sad part is that no one is doing anything about it because it's entertainment, imo sick entertainment, but entertainment nonetheless. The stuff guys at work sit around and watch,(youtube), and laugh at is mind boggling, to me anyway, it's their entertainment. What does that say about people that go out of their way to watch it? I don't want to see it and I could give two sheets what people say because I don't. I've got my own opinion about it and it's why I work alone, eat alone, sit alone and anything else you can think of that can be done alone. It's why I spend so much time here, this thread and the sports thread and don't wander off the reservation to any of the other threads, that's not entertainment to me, I'm not even curious,(unless you happen to bring up a Werner trainer thread, lol) this is my reality. Honest, funny, hardworking,understanding, willing to help, mostly like minded folks. I get along with almost everybody here and if I don't or don't like what they've got to say?......well you know, lol. What would WE have done if we had grown up with cell phones and the internet? We'll never know.

We'll go to work tomorrow or Monday and somebody will be showing or discussing a video of someone in trouble, needing help and all anybody did was stand around and video it. We'll shake our heads, talk about what idiot's they are and go on about our day and in the meantime.........
