We never did either, if we had to trip something we would. There were also occasions where we would reave the main in multiple parts for a heavy lift an the aux in a single over the rooster for swinging small parts because the single was quicker. You know set a beam with the block then fly cross braces or crates with the aux. we did set up crawlers particularly with a jib and bare rent RT’s that way a lot.

Years ago, there was a driver here that had an uncanny ability to load a trailer. He went by the name of Cluck. It was said that He once loaded a 2 ton service truck and a school bus on a step deck, and booked 33 people on a bus trip to Biloxi.

There were stories about how he was charged with violating the Mann Act for transporting Scarlett Johansson to LA. In a semi. By way of Tampa and Seattle.
Mythbusters went off the air because they said that they could bust the legend of Cluck and they couldn’t.
Heard that he was used to help a plane with malfunctioning landing gear land on a highway (the front wheel jammed)

Anyways, when he was a member here, he used to post all sorts of pics of his amazing feats. Most of them may have been classified, but the less “radical” ones might still be around.
Want to know why the current speaker of the house is so bitter and crazed looking? She knocked on Cluck’s door while he was napping and he said, “Nope. I’m good. Don’t knock again.”

Gotta watch out for them Mercer guys. Never know what one of them SOBs is gonna do. Oh yeah... wait a minute...

You leave that Mercer feller be now, don't ya know they're the best of the best and don't need no daggum bearded hillbilly harassment.

Okay seriously, stop in the middle of the road? Should of had an exit plan figured before ever arriving. Either get on towards the next load, or PC to the truck stop if out of hours.

I wish that stuff wasn't so expensive - I could use a hundred tons of it.
