You're correct in that they were also sub-divided by other parameters but the label A/FX covered a spectrum defined as Factory produced by the NHRA. From what I've read. I wasn't there so I could be wrong. Uncle was there, wasn't he @4mer trucker ? Didn't you two Truck in the Avgas for the NHRA back then ?

It has been a long time since I played with door slammers but, I don't recall that term. I grew up working for Ed Pink and has a AA/BAD when I was a kid
