Where is everyone #5

Everything since the compressor turns the fuel pump..... they are piggyback or in tandem. Had one compressor go bad and beat the front of the fuel pump to pieces!!

 

It's in front of the strip....I mean gentlemen's club. It s only open for lunch. I'm guessing they don't want to be in the neighborhood when the street lights come on!

 

@bigguns . You question why this is number 5. Well if I recall up till not to long ago a thread could only have so many pages. Not sure why, but there were other threads that also had numbers or something like that to denote a former thread.

 

Is the old pump ruined or just need a rebuild??

 

Oh..... just to be more explanatory, both pumps are calibrated for a 475 twin turbo, but the big pump is +100% on top of that with KT Cummins and VT Cummins parts inside, throttle shaft is also drilled larger for fuel flow.....

 

It was still running good out on the road so a good rebuild should do it good.

 

Some addictions are worth havin.

 

Still got some catching up to do, but here's some pics of yesterday's 13 hour repair job.

Cracks on both sides of the frame, from a very poor joint design.
CNC cut 1/2" plates (21" long) to beef up the joint after the cracks were repaired.
4 plates welded in. A little over 2 hours per plate.

It was a double combine trailer in its former life. The combines are too big to do that now.

 

But that’s when the fun starts!!!

All joking aside... I never had a problem in two(?) maybe three nights I parked there...

Some sketchy figures walking the sidewalks but I was never bothered...
