Having been a cowboy and knowing a whole bunch of real ones I can tell you that #3 has got to go.

Ever read "Othello"? It's a story about the destruction of a great and capable Man, by means of gossip and slander. Through "talk" jealous people convinces a great warrior that his wife is unfaithful and he eventually murders her.

Happens every day. Had a woman call me, who was in the process of divorcing a friend, call me up to tell me dirt about him. She got my number out his phone, and thought that I would be interested in knowing. I told her that he had always proven to be a decent guy to me, and his business is none of my business, and I hung up the phone. A couple hours later, a mutual friend calls me and tells me that she tried to tell him some dirt, but he hung up. He asked me if he should tell this guy what his wife was doing. I told him no...it's none of our business.

In other words, #3 has to stay. Like the wise man said, 'Make it your goal to lead a quiet life, and MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS."

Lying about things and talking dirt are no where near telling tales. Ever heard of cowboy poetry?
Gossip and slander are far different as well. Telling tales and even embellishing parts of them are part of the lore of the west.

We had lead based paint. I believe it was in 1978 when they outlawed lead paint, the greatest killer of Darwin children that time. So now the Darwins are after tide pods....

Next, some family is going to sue proctor and gamble because their Braindead kid ate Tide and some do nothing politician will start a movement to have all bleach and laundry detergent nontoxic.

Been lots of machines moving into this area. Friend where I park rents camper spots to these out of town pipe liners. Talking to one of the men last week and he mentioned there was like 30+ new D9's setting waiting to go to work. Don't know who drug them in but.... They will be going back out eventually. Lots of big machines brought in and staged behind Hurricane Equipment on route 60 too, just about 12 miles or so east of me. Been noticing a man with the big hat watching everything moving around there, he was setting on 60 again yesterday too.

Me and my pal since we started school used to talk about heading up to Montana or Idaho after high school and trying to hire out. Thought we had skills back then LMAO.
We both ended up hauling cows instead, still today I can load on one of the big spreads like the Triangles in Guthrie and wonder what I missed.

We got our laundry did, the truck cleaned out, greased and brakes adjusted. A shower and a nap we be ready to ride
