    Yep. In my experience the lower court is a joke. The judge acts like a haphazard, heavy handed butcher with little regard for the law or justice. You need to lose the first time and appeal to get a real trial.

    I use a time card. And paper logs after 12 hours. I'm not judging.

    In reality the car was probably towed and is sitting in impound in operating condition and would require Walter White-like ingenuity to tamper with the evidence while in lockup. But hey, why ruin a good internet story with common sense?

    I’ve certainly been in front of anti-truck judges before, and like in the case of the last one any facts contrary to “her honor’s” opinion will not be tolerated.

    However if the officer failed to prove in his report that it was operational at the time it's up to him to also prove that it was. I'm not a attorney, just had done things I shouldn't have in younger days.

    Exactly. I started to realize fairly soon that these county magistrates aren’t even judges. At best lawyers and some I doubt are even that

    That’s what I did I found some heater hose in my garage and if I put my next yours it looks exactly the same I use zip ties and now the metal is not touching my hydraulic hoses. Thanks to all advice
