A little addendum to this..

Last guy who was here had some issues with efficiency and some other things. When bossman got on his case about it, he basically quit on the spot.

So now bossman is worried that if barks at this current guy that the same result will happen. There's been another couple cases of snowflakeitis in the past as well.

I've stated my opinion on the matter several times. Outside of that only other choice is to walk on down the road. Not a good time for that because I've hit that point in life where my next boss needs to be me. Ducks need to be more in line before I take that step.

Fortune may favor the bold, but even the bold should have a safety net if things go sideways.

 

I hope this pans out. I used to wrench for a company that told new drivers "We have new trucks ordered". The would come out to the shop. Get issued a 1993-1997 Volvo and ask when are the new trucks coming in". This was 2005 maybe. Last new ones bought in 2000. Then bought some used 02 in 2005. Hated to tell the drivers but it was the corporate bait and switch.

 

I mean we are white Americans.

 

A Vulva that can get me miles for a few months is a small sacrifice to make to actually have work and make money. If it somehow violates the "Man Law", then I'll gladly surrender my Man Card, lol.

No idea, but I'll let you know when I find out. I'd assume Vancouver. Been probably a good 20 years since I've been on a plane, lol.

No real corporation on this one though, but I understand the trepidation and thank you for being a voice of reason (keeps me grounded and objective). But even if they give me a year or two old truck that runs reliably and give me miles, I'll be happy. From my conversation with the owner and her brother-in-law (who I used to work with and trust), I'm fairly confident this should work out and they'll be true to their word.

 

So,who wants to come & help put the new one in?

Well, after parting ways with Humble, my day kinda went south when I got back in town. A lot of extra work and getting dirty, but Ol Gun said it’s Friday and we’re gonna make it happen.

Gonna treat myself with a leftover cupcake. Elsa, Belle or plain? Maybe one of each. I’ve earned it.

 

On a scale of 1-10, what would you rank yourself as a driver overall?

 

Nah your card is still valid. Now if ya said you was buying a vulva yourself, well we might have to have a chat.

 

I'd rank myself at a solid 7.5

Not perfect, lack some experience in certain areas but I've always been a quick study and my pride isn't such that I don't ask for help in a bind.

Been complimented by some of our contractors regarding maneuvering in tight job sites "you do better than some of our drivers".
