One thing I'm absolutely certain of, this particular driver will take care of her.

Dad was building Taconite plants on the Iron Range in MN — in 79 (my senior year) he came home and told us to pack our #### — we are going to Maitland NSW Australia to build an Aluminum Smelter — showed up, got into HS and the games began. I graduated over there and worked for a year — not enough time left today to tell ya about it, all I can say is I have been back twice — If anyone has the inclination and the ability, get 20 miles out of the cities and you will not be able to comprehend the fun that can be had — best people (other than big eared tater diggers) I have run into.

If you were closer, we'd back it in the shop and work in the shade.

    Nice!

I dated a gal from Burns Flat that had one of them. Except hers was purple and didn’t have that fancy wood trim on the sides. She’d come to Elk on Friday and Saturday nights, hide that car behind her grandma’s house, and get in the truck with me.

Then one day her folks bought her a brand new ‘90 Camaro for graduation. She’d come to town and let me drive. Then all my buddies started wondering who this hot girl I’m dating is.

“Yeah, we’ve been at it for a while, y’all just wouldn’t pay her no mind till she got a cool car.”

Oh the most fun. Especially when they arent something that's not exactly necessary to fix asap but still annoying all the same. I'll check the tach as its cranking and see if it registers. I'm not sure how these n14s determine timing

I'm no N14 pro by any stretch, and it sounds like your issue is more fuel related than sensor, since it changed on you from start/stall to long crank starts.

That said, I lean towards changing position sensors as PM, especially when no history is known or there are issues. Most are hall effect, with a little magnet/iron inside of very fine copper windings to generate voltage (or however that voodoo works) - a break in the little copper winding can still allow the sensor to create some voltage during higher speed pulsations, but the signal falls out, usually when slowing, or starting. I'm no diesel tech, but I've spent a lot of time watching ABS/Wheel speed sensors on autos with the Solus to catch one falling off or lagging on takeoff. N14's sensors actually look pretty robust, and I'd be surprised if that was the issue in your case, but like the video said, they're only like $50.
