I picked up and the little F’er tried to bite me

 

Had a great turnout, fun filled day for everyone....... until late in the day after the parade. Seen a dozen men of all sizes run like the wind when a cletrac crawler climbed the gears and went over backwards! I think we all said a prayer and thanked God we didn’t loose our Freind!!! He was loading his machine when it stood up and went over backwards, the draw bar stuck in the ground slowing it down as it went over center, all the while many of us went in a dead run. 2 men grabbed the hood pushing against it as hot antifreeze ran down their arms..... but they never let go, I jumped on the trailer and ran a chain through a open area in the belly and hooked it to the cross member in the trailer ( open floor ) except on the sides. Steve’s right foot was pinned and he was stuck under the machine, his son grabbed a tractor and got beside the trailer as I ran another chain between the 2, all the while others were fighting to free his leg. The seat pan and the spring mount it was attached to broke clean off the machine. With a SC Case tractor on one side and a winch from another trailer on the other side we got it back over center and they freed him from under it, the machine came on over and landed on trailer right side up. It was a horrifying few minutes as many came together to help a Freind in need. The owner of the crawler is a personal Freind to many of us there, and has been a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. Things happen in an instance without warning sometimes, be prepared....., we wasn’t! But all and all it was a great show.

 

Sounds like fuel for sure.

I’d start cheap. Bypass that cooler plate behind the ECM and go straight to the filter housing with the fuel line. They say they are bad about getting pinholes in them.

 

Well then move it to the salad or the entree. Quick. The Feds are everywhere.
