One of my drivers called me about a half hour ago, she was delivering to a customer who made an extremely rude comment to her about being a female truck driver right off the start. Then he #####ed about her attire.
She said what should I do.
I said get in the truck and drive away, the ####ing ####### can explain to his boss why they don't have material. Go to the cafe we eat at sometimes about 5 minutes away, stop and have lunch, sit there until i call back. The business manager has just called me for the third time, first call was about 3 minutes after she drove away, to ask why she drove off still full, so i told him. Call two was to ask me what he could do to get her to come back and deliver, i said fire him right now, and when she comes back you go out personally and apologize sincerely. Call three was to say he's been fired and he will personally greet her. So i called my driver and said just relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch, when done go back, if the apology sounds sincere deliver, if not come back to the yard. I don't care who they are, if someone insults my staff they can burn in hell for eternity, and I will have my drivers back every time. What i had to stop myself from doing was getting in my pickup and driving over there and knocking him out cold.

 

Nice to see some bosses stand up for their employees instead of being spineless ####bags
