Do you know the difference between a tourist and a traveler? Well, tourists are the reason why everything ‘tastes like chicken.’

Tourist go to a strange land dressed as if they bought everything available out of aPanama Jack catalogue. They go to Paris France and eat at McDonalds. Why? Because that’s what they are familiar with. “DOES ANYONE HERE SPEAK ENGLISH????!!!!” Getting louder helps in the translation.

So, if they try something new and they like it, that’s not beef or pork,they go with the only other meat they know. “Hmmm, this tastes like chicken!”

I myself consider myself a traveler. In Quebec, I learned to speak enough French to pass. The farther north you travel, the less you will hear English so you’d better learn French.
In Mexico, I learned Spanish. In Jamaica and Haiti, I went into the bars the locals went to. Scary thought, but I’m ugly enough that even Haitians and Jamaicans were puzzled “wut de hell is dat, mon? you are oogly mon.”

BTW, they do drink RedStripe. Tastes like Corona mixed with raspberry preserves. So nasty that you don’t even spit it out. You walk to the trash can lean forward and drop your jaw.
