and been a member of associations like the Nation Cattlemen.
One of them had an article years ago which floored me. It listed the dollars worth of beef imported from Mexico annually. It was tremendous. Do not recall if it was hanging, on hoof or both.
What really surprised me was that we sold more dollars worth of beef to them every year than we purchased. We were buying hamburger beef from them. They were buying choice and prime from us. That probably has not changed. -

I buy beef directly from a rancher about a 30 minute drive away, he butchers it, and even makes sausages there. Pork comes from about 10 minutes past him. Our eggs and chicken come from about 5 minutes away, and are delivered to the shop. Once a week i take the order from my employees and text her with what we all want for chicken and eggs, it shows up two days later. My beef, pork, and sausages I order in bulk, and then sit back and relax, i get a call usually a few weeks later asking if in a couple days is a convenient time to drop it off.
In town is a farmers market every Wednesday and Saturday, the locals sell bread, vegetables, jam etc there all summer, in winter though I shop at Save On foods.
The same thing with buying some at the grocery store between meat orders.
Best #### bacon I've ever had as well. -
