I don't have enough open deck experience for Greentree or they would be at the top of the pile. I'm gonna call Jones Motor again. I believe he told me ya have to have your own trailer, but maybe they have someplace they can be rented from.

Had a guy make a post about bathroom breaks in a trainer’s truck. Guy says in the opening post that he drinks lots of coffee and water and he wants to know if it will be a problem to stop and pee when he needs to pee. I told him that I would put him off the truck by the end of the day. Suddenly, I am “too harsh”, immature, a jerk and I had some NonDriver clown call me a Supertrucker and then brag about how he stops 3 times an hour to pee and how he’s driven 3 million safe miles since 1991.
Does everyone know what a NonDriver is? It is a driver who cannot drive. 3 times an hour...every 20 minutes, this guy is pulling over to pee. He got incensed when I told him that he was a NonDriver. Even started volunteering employment history. Shameful. -
Why is it any time we insist that we can safely do something that the Nondrivers cannot do we are immediately seen as a supertrucker?

Craziness!!!
I know to avoid all threads now that are should I buy this truck or this trailer...my honest opinion is not fluffy enough for some people, they don't want the truth, they want a yes.
I really hope these guys post again in about 5 years, with a follow up on how it went. My guess is they are less arrogant, a lot more humble, and they will be open minded to hearing advice from others after the school of hard knocks beats them up some for 5 years.Oxbow, blairandgretchen, Al. Roper and 10 others Thank this. -
Any interest in buying your own flatbed yet?
I know the market ain’t exactly.... good. For that right now but it may open up some doors you don’t even know exist? -

You're 100% correct here Six. Problem with being on where I'm at, is so many guys here have no idea what they're doing, and we're captive to the company's load board. Real hard to get better rates when they have a hundred other trucks behind ya that will run it cheap.
So it's either take what's offered or sit for the most part. Add in unpredictable lanes, very little direct customer freight, and a slow spot market. All makes for a bad situation.
I'm not excusing my own mistakes in any way. Biggest one being signing on here.Oxbow, blairandgretchen, Al. Roper and 17 others Thank this. -
You just can't help yourself can you? First the W bomb now the g word?
Should be ashamed of yourself.Oxbow, blairandgretchen, Al. Roper and 14 others Thank this.
