Just starting. Going to tire shop to spin balance all tires to see if I have a square one. If that don't do it going to start pulling wheel hubs to inspect bearings.cke, BigBob410, PoleCrusher and 13 others Thank this.

Amen!!!
Although I admit in winter we work nights when it snows.cke, BigBob410, Crusader66 and 10 others Thank this. -
We don't have high speed roads here anyway, so no need to worry about blistering speeds ever. But for about 75% of our trip we were loaded heavy, and huge, and the permits restricted our top speed, often to less than posted speeds in areas. Plus we were not setting any speed records up and down the hills lol.
Same reason why we often don't start early or run late, day time hours only, plus restricted routes depending on the area and just how big and heavy. We were actually really fortunate that the permits allowed us to run 90 this time, not bad at all.Last edited: Aug 9, 2019

That's where I am. 2 new steers, all tires balanced, new tie rods, and an alignment. Still shakes at 45 and above
Didnt find any slack in the king pins but might have a tiny bit in the drivers front hub bearing.cke, BigBob410, Crusader66 and 12 others Thank this. -
Its extremely difficult for me to sleep at night. No clue why but I can get up 6am work all day and still be wide awake until around 2am. Granted day 2 at 6am I feel like I've been hit by a mack truck but I just dont fall asleep like most.
When I worked nights I could work, go home get in bed about 4am get up the next day at 12 with no alarm clock or anything and feel great.cke, Crusader66, PoleCrusher and 12 others Thank this. -
Funny how that works. When I get in the 300 after her, the avg mpg displayed is in the high teens. I get home and its back in the mid 20s. I know she's an aggressive driver even though she never admits to it. I rarely mention it since I'm not completely stupid.IH Truck Guy, cke, BigBob410 and 16 others Thank this.

There are three dealers closer to us, ranging from 85 minutes away to 3 hours away, but I don't mind going 4 hours to Trail instead to be treated kindly, and no games, and BS. Wife has today off, so ai asked her to come flying with me, she has no idea where or why. I am going to fly us down for a look, and if she likes it, she can drive it back. Besides good excuse for me to go for a little flight, I think after going there I'll swing by and see my friend for a coffee and chat, haven't seen her in a while.cke, BigBob410, Crusader66 and 11 others Thank this.

The only truly horrible vehicle that I have ever owned was a toyota. Bought it brand new, and it was rarely in my garage, usually at the dealership being fixed again. What a great day it was when i traded it in on a Dodge, that was flawless. It left such a bad taste in my mouth I wouldn't even consider another toyota ever again. After q ridiculous amount of Dodge products in my life, both personal and as company vehicles, I am a true fan.
Sadly we do not have a local dealership...well unless you want to drive a ford that is...our one and only dealer in town is a ford dealer. I love this small town, but do wish it had a few more things, like a Dodge dealer, Costco, good AME service center at the airport, etc.cke, BigBob410, Crusader66 and 9 others Thank this.
