Yeah....Simplot was the name I couldn't recall, said he lived until he was 99....sounded like quite a guy. They mentioned a highway that was built to make travel north/south easier to keep the northern folk happy and content. Funny you mention there are still secession rumblings....around these parts Texas has been rumored to be considering it and it wouldn't surprise me if Kansas joined in. Both conservative, both with oil and gas and both with plenty of agriculture that would be useful for sustainment and trade.

 

This is why it pays to pay attention, and learn. I've never done OSOW, and while I might never haul one, ya never know what tomorrow will bring.

One of the things I've learned from reading Six's posts, is to not trust your pilot cars, especially if you've never worked with them. It's not their responsibility to follow the correct route, and they are not in charge. The driver has to read the permits and provisions, familiarize theirselves with the route and restrictions, and take charge

And ya know it's not that hard to acquire the knowledge to do a job. All ya got to do is ask somebody to show ya how to do it before you accept the job.
