    Yes there's an aluminum spacer that goes between the compressor body and the backside of the timing cover.

    I replaced it at home because I had a near constant seeping of oil coming from that area. After doing the o-rings a couple times I replaced the spacer in case it was slightly warped or cracked. Unfortunately it's still seeping oil so eventually I'll have to tear off the front of the engine to fix it.

    A couple times now I've had the flange break off the bottom stud and those small pieces have no doubt found the way to the oil pan, although I doubt they're big enough to block the pickup.

    Where it's foaming the oil now I'm pretty sure the pickup tube has fallen off, at least partially.

    The equipment rental side of my customers place here is going to allow me to pull into a shop bay to work on it, but not til tomorrow morning.

    It will certainly be worth a few cases of Miller Lite to not be working out in the heat and the dirt.

    @RStewart Hope you don’t end up here?

    @sawmill
    Hope you find a simple fix buddy. Great you found a spot to work in it.

    Ever heard of the band called Bare Naked Ladies ?
    There's no wimmens in that band. Thankfully they wasn't naked either the brief moment when I saw them.

    Y'all need to shape up. If y'all owned the Waffle House the menu would probably have Tofu and grapenuts. No waffles.
    Y'all some mean, cruel, misleading ( read as Lying ) people.
