I put in a new oil pump. It is in on two out of three bolt holes right now but it should be ok for the 1100 mile ride to the house.

The real repair can't happen til I get there

Got moving after a 10 this morning because I might be headed south from Calgary. Ran Sicamous to Calgary to pickup a tandem 48 flat to get a load on.

Seems like I stopped right before the "mountains" actually kicked into high gear last night (a good thing).

Running it bobtail really helped because there was some stuff I really wasn't ready for, especially with a trailer or loaded. Heading east out of Golden, BC is nuts. How they don't get more trucks hung up on the barriers or cars under trailers I haven't got the faintest clue.

Rained pretty much the entire way until I got past Banff. Beautiful scenery, but I'm a flat lander. Mountain grades and near-switch backs and tight curves with trucks running 100km/h through coming over the centre line... that #### ain't for me. Especially once the snow flies.

I'll take the loads when they give them to me, but I won't be going out of my way to request them, lol.

Non stop today, earning my keep for sure. Now if I could get my partner in somethingorother to kick it up a notch, I could get him outta here on time in the morning.

Gonna go get me bull whip.

 

I had mine done in 93 in Langley BC and loved it, then in 96 they bought a off the truck balancer and started charging for a R&R as well as a balance. It cut their balancing business by 25% the first year and they had to cut their R&R fee in half to get many of us back for mid wear balancing.

 

Make that 450 for the day and two stops... set it up so I can hopefully kick the PHX drop off tomorrow...
