Note: an old Superliner with a big counterweight added to pull a late 80's or early 90's Star up the hill.
I will bet that Star has a 8 cylinder Cat or a KT Cummins and the Mack is. V8 too.
In the 90's I was working out of Surrey BC and was friends and customer of a bunch of Aussies that ran a truck wrecking yard and they shipped a container a week to Australia with nothing small in the engines area.

In today's episode of "The Adventures of Crispy", we take a look at some quality Chicagoland equipment.

I'm not sure how far he drove this, but it did travel about 1-1/2 miles from loves to my shop. The dispatcher called and said he had a driver with some broken suspension bolts. I asked him if it was driveable or if I needed to come to the truck stop. Apparently, it was driveable.

That belongs at the other end of the axle. That is just like I found it.

Not sure where he gets his zip ties, but they seem to be good ones.:D

Not only did the U-bolts come loose/fall off, but so did the shackle brackets and both bolts.

This was yesterday's adventure. I also got to have a very heated discussion with someone from another country, when the first 6 people who called tried to get out of paying the bill, since I don't take credit cards yet.
They claim to have maxed out their comcheck funds for the day, and didn't have any cash to wire to the driver. When I told the last guy
"Nothing leaves until it's paid for",
    they suddenly had cash.

I love that title. Ranks right up there with Psycho Dad. I bet Al Bundy watches your show too.

I will look at my Champion post drill when I get to the shop tomorrow. It looks similar to that, but i don't remember what casting numbers it has. The previous owner took the bull wheel off and converted it to run with an electric motor.:(

Welp, guess it was just a getting out of Calgary problem. I'm hitting the ground running.

Empty back to HQ from Bismarck, swap for a step deck, load cattle chutes from Woodlands, MB down to Brush, CO for Monday. Then reload out of Neodesha, KS for a dam north of Thompson.

I'm in Minot for my stupid mandatory 30 minute break, but at least I can trip plan while I eat.

Had a true professional driver deliver some pipe today. Was inside doing some paperwork and I hear an air horn blast. Not unusual, since one of the drivers for the place next door blasts his every time he backs into their yard.

Finish paperwork and hop on the forklift to grab some pallets outside I needed to ship out LTL. See this Peterbilt sitting where our truck is usually parked, with this grizzly looking little dude standing by it. He's giving me that "about time" look.

Guess walking in to say hi, get a cold bottle of water and maybe some popcorn for a snack was a tall order for him. Think he would have sat out there for quite awhile had I not driven out back by chance.

Can't complain about a prompt unload if you can't be bothered to come and let us know you've arrived....
