My response: “You find me some place I can put my truck to work and make enough money to pay the bills there and I’ll consider it. I don’t think they haul frac sand much in Turks and Caicos.”

So I am not the only person that has done that before? I don’t feel so bad. Six years ago, I got eight stitches in this finger right across the knuckle. You quickly get over a fear of needles when you get stuck about 15 times with a hook needle and an anesthetic. The best part was when I asked the girl at the clinic if they did stitches and she said, hmm let me check. Such a vote of confidence.
Former ER doctor did a great job, can hardly see it -
The table saw got hungry one afternoon and bit my thumb....the pad looked like hamburger.
After they stuck it in a bowl of antiseptic that burnt like the gates of hell they numbed it and the doc and I put it back together like a jigsaw puzzle. When we found a piece that fit I'd hold it in place and she'd put in a stitch. It's still messed up and gets all wrinkled up and hurts if I use it much.
I never could figure out why they can't numb it before they make you soak it in Satan's solution??IH Truck Guy, Ruthless, 1951 ford and 10 others Thank this. -
Well you wouldn’t learn if it didn’t hurt.
My dad cut his thumb off with a radial arm saw. Amazingly the doctor sewed it back on, and he has full function other than no feeling.
