Fittin to take a feedlot bath, gotta have it no way round it. Sometimes your the windshield sometimes your the bug. Grass cattle are well......

 

Went out today and flagged off the spot where we are going to be putting the house so the wife could see where it goes

She disappeared after a while. I figured she was sniffing a truck mattress somewhere but when i left she was panhandling by the get on ramp with her sign.

That mount scares me. all I can think of is the amount of garbage (mud,rocks, ice, etc) that is going to pile up on that thing and restrict the airflow and therefore the cooling capacity.
I would suggest 2 angle brackets on each end and hang it vertically from the same area preferably with a sheet metal "roof" on it and maybe a thermostatically controlled electric fan for long hot pulls.

Somebody made the suggestion already, but a hole saw would be the best option. Make them large enough to get a file on the "top side" of the hole. There will be a burr in there that will hold moisture after you drill them, you'll want/need to file that out.
