So why are elective surgeries/procedures actually decreasing in cost? Think plastic surgery. Because there is competition, there is by and large no insurance or government involvement and in the end everybody wins....consumer pays less and doctors still fill their pockets without having to hire staff just to wade through all the paperwork that comes with government involvement. I firmly believe the people of this country, the most charitable on earth, will see that others are helped and provided for. But when said people are saddled with bearaucratic BS up the their ears there becomes a lot less disposable income.
Let me just throw this out there so there is no doubt. Able-bodied people that rely on the govt teat can pi$$ off. They had the opportunity to go to public school just like me, they even got you there and back home for free as well as fed you for free....it's not my problem they chose not to pay attention and make poor decisions and it shouldn't be forced on the rest of us to help them become a life-long leach. @jamespmack if you want to open your doors and take these people in, clothe and feed them, let them play Xbox all day, I'll tip my hat to you.cke, dwells40, Slowpoke KW and 12 others Thank this. -
Amen!!!cke, Crusader66, 7-UP and 5 others Thank this.

Yesterday's adventures.
New one for me. 3 out of 4 brake cans were spray painted to cover the rust and looked like this.
The white colored spot on the rusted nut is a hole that has rotted through.
The 4th chamber. That's a rust flake on the end of the rod.
The driver said the brakes didn't seem quite right. Nothing appears to have been greased for quite some time. We started this job just changing the cans on the pins under the trailer. He said he paid somebody to change them and all they did was rebuild 1 of them.
I guess we know why now. -
Dam it man I didn’t realize how much we thought alike. Everyone wants to blame big business for wanting a profit but it’s the nature of the beast. We’re truckers here and many business owners, if you hauled for a steel mill and the government set that up so that they had to pay you whatever was determined regardless of how high it was would you do it? Of course you would, it was very much that way under regulation. The problem at it is now the one who does it cheapest (for the most part) gets the work. There’s no free market in healthcare so there’s no incentive. Create and incentive and accountability and you’ll see prices come down.cke, Slowpoke KW, tony97905 and 13 others Thank this.
